This art comes from India and is used to
maintain spiritual balance and physical health. As a general guide, when
performing yoga the body is elongated on the inhale (tension) and relaxes into
the stretch on exhale. Some people believe that Yoga itself was a martial
art at one time and that it was responsible for the martial arts emanating from
the Shaolin Monastery (See article below).
