Kanji

KanjiKanji are the Chinese characters used in Japanese writing. Kanji consist of symbols that can represent a word or expression. They are normally written from top to bottom, but for technical reasons will be written from left to right on this page. Kanji are supplemented by katakana and hiragana which are read phonetically and act more like English letters.
