Chief Instructor Roy Osborne began training in 1951 in Kumamoto, Japan for five years in Judo and moved to Okinawa in 1955 where he studied Shorinjiryu under Fusie Kise O'Sensei, Okinawan Kempo under Seiyu Oyata O'Sensei.
