1. Having trained at this Dojo for 2 years (obtained brown belt at a different dojo) and attaining my Shodan from Master Okazaki, I have nothing but respect for this dojo, its instructors, and its students. The instructors go above and beyond to help its students - I have never seen a dojo that offered so many hours of training opportunity. Most students are willing to learn from the instructors, and most instructors are in turn willing to learn from the students where appropriate. I rate this dojo as outstanding, and its an HONOR to train amongst the many levels including Shodan, Nidan, Sandan, Yondan, and Godan! OSU!

2. I trained at this club for 10 years. I was attracted by the well organized, disiplined regime of the training. The senior instructors are dedicated in their teachings of Shotokan Karate. This club is sanctioned by the Japan Karate Association and the International Shotokan Karate Federation. Throughout my years of training there the visiting masters often commented on the solid organization. They were always pleased at the quality of instruction and the very high success rate across all ranks and all age groups. The essence of martial arts is to develop the mind, body and spirit. The Northern Shotokan Karate Club embodies this course of instruction.

3. I trained at this dojo for many years. I started as a young teenager. The training provided by the school allowed me to find discipline and motivation to achieved all of my goals. I got in good physical shape. My instructor gave me the confidence to believe in myself. They were very supportive throughout my all of my challenges. Training at this dojo was by far the best thing that happened to me. Thanks for everything !!!

4. I have been a member of this club for approx.. 10 years and in other styles of martial arts prior to and since my time with the Northern Shotokan Karate Club. I have the rank of (Shodan)and have found the quality of Instruction in Teachings and Disipline to be the best by far of all styles I have ever been involved with.

5. Have trained now for several years and have found through the teachings of the Masters who have came in for what they like to call "special training". From the sensei's who I train under it isn't about how quick the color of your belt turns to black. It is more of a journey,and from time to time I have found myself with my own inner struggles to stay on "my" journey. Yet I still find the club keeps calling me back. Thank-you for being a solid foundation so I may become a better Karate-ka.

6. This is an excellent dojo with very high standards. The senior instructors are 5th, 4th and 3rd dans and the dojo has been in operation over 20 years. 95 black belts have been awarded by the Japan Karate Association and the International Shotokan Karate Federation to its members. There are 20 classes each week and individualized instruction and specialized classes are provided as needed. There are classes for juniors and adults and training is open to both males and females.

7. Lack of discipline and disregard for physical training and fitness.

1. World Class Instructors, World Class Facility, World Class Organization! Train with Sensei Ray and Stan Tio - 3 Time World Cup Bronze Medallists, Numerous times Pan-American and National Kata and Kumite Champions!

2. I am a student of Sensei Ray and he is a great instructor. The dojo is beautiful and traditional. I also signed up for the YogaFusion classes and can't wait to get started. Definitely a 5 star dojo!
