Focus mitts are an essential tool for those serious about their striking
skills. Most people can hit a non-moving target hard, and most can
hit a moving target. But if you want to hit a moving target HARD,
you've got to practice. That's where focus mitts come in handy,
and these have everything you'd want. They're stiff, comfortable
and have a Velcro wrist strap to keep them secure. They come in
both leather and vinyl. The leather's got a better feel and is
more durable, but they're also more expensive. Like most Tiger
Claw products, these
combine good pricing and quality, I give them five kiai.
KD Elite 4 oz. MMA Gloves
These are outstanding gloves for the price. I use them as bag
gloves, and they fill that role admirably. The open thumb and
large opening on the palm allow the hand to stay cool while training.
The wrist strap wraps around several times making them very secure.
They are made of leather and seem very well constructed. For the
combination of price and quality, I give them five kiai.
Tiger's Claw Kick Boxing Shorts
In our dojo we wear gis, so I only wear these when I train on my own or
when training informally. They are very comfortable and loose, so they
don't restrict kicking techniques. But most of all, they're fun. They
get me pumped up & make training more fun. I give them four kiai.
Tiger's Claw Martial Arts Shoe
These shoes are excellent for training outdoors. They come with a tie
string, but it is unnecessary because they stay on fine without it.
So they are very comfortable for slipping on to train outside where it's
inappropriate to train without shoes. Unlike sneakers, they have a
circular tread which really allows pivoting in place. They've also held
up well over the years. I give them four kiai.
