Podcasts

Anyone with an iPod or Apple computer is probably familiar with Podcasts.  Well, the rest of you soon will be.  Podcasts come in two varieties: audio and video.  There's some outstanding martial arts being shared by this medium.

On this page I'll rate these podcasts.  To download these just follow the iTunes links and search the Podcast name.

"Martial Arts Explorer" Format: video.  Outstanding breakdowns and interpretations of various Karate techniques.  Very good production values and excellent content.  Any video that makes me this jealous must be given five kiai.

Ask A NinjaAskaNinja.com Format: video.  Ok, not really a "classical" martial arts podcast, but it is hilarious. If you find yourself taking your training a little too serious, you owe it to yourself to seek advice from a Ninja. Whether you want to know more about "ninternships" or where the next "killercon" convention will be, the Ninja knows. Comedy and the martial arts never blended so well, and like the Ninja, "I look forward to killing you soon"!  I laughed too much to give it anything less then five kiai.

"Warrior Pages Podcast." Format: video.  Ok, this is my podcast, and if you're on this site, you've probably seen these videos.  However, I am able to podcast these in a larger format than I can on this site, so it's worth checking out.  Plus, subscribing can help keep you up to date.  I give myself four kiai to prove I can be objective, and because I believe I can improve on the production quality.

"Karate Cafe." Format: audio.  This is the podcast that got me going and made me realize what was possible.  If you want to know what it's really like in most dojos, this is the podcast for you.  It focuses on issues faced by most modern martial artists and sounds so much like the discussions in our dojo, I feel like I know these folks.  Sound quality is a little raw at times, but the content more than makes up for it.  I give it four kiai.
