Jujutsu

Kanji: Jujutsu
Meaning: The art of softness
Synopsis:

Jujutsu (also Jiu-Jitsu, Jujitsu...) began as a adjunct fighting system to complement the more traditional weapons systems arising from ancient Japan.  Although weapons remain a part of modern Jujutsu, it has become primarily known as an unarmed grappling art.  Strikes are, however, a major part of most Jujutsu systems.  Many modern Japanese Martial Arts are derived from Jujutsu.
