| Training Tips: Randomize Your
Training |
 |
|
Ever walk into the dojo and spend half your training time
trying to decide what to do, or you have a workout plan that
you just don't feel like following. Here's a suggestion to
help you deal with these situations. Randomize your training.
That's right, let fate decide what you should do....

Here are more of the fruits of Mr. Jonathan Forrester's
help. Here are Japanese words that change pronunciation as
suffixes. For example, kick is Kerri by itself or as a
prefix, but Geri as a suffix as in Kerri Waza or
Mawashi Geri. Other examples:
Harai
(-Barai) - Parry or block (Barai when used with
a prefix)
Shime (-Jime) - Choking
(Jime when used with a prefix)
Tachi
(-Dachi) Stance (Dachi when used with a
prefix)

News and Notes |

A month since our last newsletter which means just that
much more to report.
First off, this weekend was Hanshi
Ridgely Abele's International Martial Arts Symposium. This is
an outstanding event held every year for artists of all
styles. Hanshi asked me to pass along a special thank you for
all those that attended and invite all those that couldn't
make it to next year's Symposium. It's a great opportunity to
train, reacquaint with friends and make new ones.
As for the Warrior Pages, we've added a News
section which contains international
martial arts news, MMA
news, upcoming
events and a weekly
cartoon.
We've added three new games to our Games
& Activities pages.
Four new videos on our Humor
Video page.
Lastly, our Terminology
page now has a clean bill of health from our resident
expert Jonathan Forrester. There's a lot of inaccurate
information out there, but thanks to Mr. Forrester, you can
count on the terminology we provide. Thanks for all your help
