| Overcoming Fear in a Self-Defense
Situation |
 |
|
By Sensei J. Richard Kirkham B.Sc.
How do you
overcome fear in a self-defense situation? Basically you
don't, you learn to use the fear instead. Making it a tool
that you shape not allowing fear to control you. All fine and
dandy, but how do you go about learning how to use fear?...

You may have noticed little ads popping up on the Warrior
Pages. It was always known that for the Warrior Pages to
survive long term, it would have to pay for itself. Thus the
ads. There is also a Warrior Pages store. With wholesale
accounts, it sells items for less than the
manufacturers.
One thing we will be sure of is that the
ads never interfere with the content. You will never see pop-
up ads, and if at any point you think the ads are interfering
with the content, please let us know. Thank you.

| TAO TEH CHING, Chapter 16 |

Attain to utmost Emptiness. Cling single-heartedly to
interior peace. While all things are stirring
together, I only contemplate the Return. For flourishing
as they do, Each of them will return to its root. To
return to the root is to find peace. To find peace is to
fulfill one's destiny. To fulfill one's destiny is to be
constant. To know the Constant is called Insight.
If one does not know the Constant, One runs blindly into
disasters. If one knows the Constant, One can understand
and embrace all. If one understands and embraces
all, One is capable of doing justice. To be just is to
be kingly; To be kingly is to be heavenly; To be
heavenly is to be one with the Tao; To be one with the Tao
is to abide forever. Such a one will be safe and
whole Even after the dissolution of his body.

In addition to several other additions, we've added a games
& activities page. For now it contains one activity &
two games. There are plans to add a martial art's quiz in the
near future, and games will be added and improved upon as
better games become available.
There are also two new video pages. These feature YouTube
videos. One is Martial Arts's Humor, and the other features
Chinese Martial Arts. Thank you Senseis Mark Baker and Nate
Mohler for introducing me to this site.
Lastly, as you can see, there is a new article by Sensei J.
Richard Kirkham. We were discussing this, and Sensei Kirkham's
article blends nicely with my article on Kata Practice. Enjoy.
Check it out....
